I had the very unfortunate experience of filing my taxes with Steve Lazarou. I was initially thrown back at all the small careless errors that first started happening. But as time went on I started to go back through my records to look at the work that was done. Steve attempted to wire my entire federal tax refund of around $10k to an account that was not even mine. I had to chase Steve down and hound him to try and get my money back. It appeared to go to an account that he has control over. I also found numerous other errors on my returns which included not claiming about $20k of losses that should have been carried over from previous years. If I did not catch this again I would be out thousands of dollars. Steve says now I have to pay him more money to fix his errors and won't make this right without getting paid more.
