We went with a CPA for our taxes this year because we wanted to get on her client list in preparation for the day that it might be more difficult (retirement account financial intricacies) in a couple of year. . She turned our paperwork around in about three weeks and our bill is lower than it was last year. Not what we expected. She comes into the conference room with the paperwork and a Nestle Crunch bar. Me - "Ooh! What did we do to earn a candy bar?" Eleanor - "You got crunched." Me - "What happens when the IRS owes us?" (wait for it) Eleanor - "You get a Payday." Timely, expert preparation, reasonable cost, lower taxes in an increased income year, representation in any IRS query, and Dad Jokes. Worth every penny.
