PTIN.ORG is a membership driven platform where individuals, businesses and agencies can verify who are registered and “licensed” tax professionals. The mission of the National Directory of Registered Tax Return Preparers & Professionals (PTIN.ORG) is to provide IRS-registered tax professionals including CPAs and Enrolled Agents with the resources and technology they need to succeed in a rapidly-changing and regulated environment.  PTIN.ORG is designed to educate its professional members as to their responsibilities with regard to the annual registration of their Preparer Tax Identification Number and the continuing education responsibilities to maintain compliance, and to provide innovative marketing tools and programs to support the growth of their professional practices.
