Income tax return held by the IRS without an understanding of why it is being held.

I filed my tax return on January 28th or 29th of 2023. On February 8th I received a letter from the IRS stating that they were holding my return for 60 to review it for errors. At the end of 60 days I received another letter stating that they need an additional 60 days to review it. Then I called the number given for the Tax Advocate Service (which the number given was a screening number). After being put on hold 5 separate times, I asked about the progress. They said they have to complete the research in order to tell me anything. I then read on their "bill of rights"on their site that says I have a right to the knowledge I was asking for. How do I find out the actual status of my return without it taking forever. (Who knows if they will keep asking for 60 days like they kept putting me on hold?) I understand if I made an error on my taxes, but I have been filing for 24 years without any major issues or delays. I am certain that if my error was shown to me, I would understand how to fix it. I would appreciate that opportunity.
