I started my career over 25 years ago working for a few small CPA firms before I joined PriceWaterhouseCoopers and then later moved on to Deloitte. I specialized in real estate taxation at both Big 4 firms. I decided to go on my own after receiving my MBA at the Fordham Graduate School of Business in 2010 because it became apparent to me that the small business was being under served. The need for better guidance, timely service, expert tax knowledge is no longer a luxury, today but a necessity. The small business competitive landscape has changed and not being able to adapt can be the difference between thriving and surviving. The same canned approach is not only an impediment to success but will even lead to a small businesses downfall. Today, the one constant is change. I realized that the biggest threat to the small business is not what you see, but what you don't. I decided to earn my Certified Fraud Examiners designation in 2012 so that I could help small businesses recoup what they didn't see such as losses due to employee theft, embezzlement, a bad partner, co-owner or ex-spouse. I work hard earning new skills and designation because I believe small businesses deserve all the certainty they can get in an uncertain environment. I utilize remote access to provide year round accounting and finance guidance because I believe the small business owner needs real time financial information and not just annual accounting or tax compliance to compete in today's market place.
