Roy B. McLaren

Roy was born and raised in Montana. After graduating from High School, he enlisted in the U. S. Army. He is a graduate of Gonzaga University, Spokane, Washington where he majored in accounting and minored in economics and philosophy. While attending Gonzaga, Roy was an honor roll student. He was also a ROTC Distinguished Military Student and received his commission as a U.S. Army Infantry Officer. As a graduate student at the University of Minnesota, Roy was a teaching assistant. He attended Law School at the University of Arizona and many professional schools in insurance, taxes, real estate and securities. For several years Roy was employed as a tax and audit supervisor with Ernst and Ernst (now Ernst and Young). After leaving public accounting Roy was employed as the controller and assistant secretary-treasurer of a manufacturing conglomerate. In 1971 Roy established his own CPA financial services firm in Tempe, Arizona. As a CPA financial services professional, Roy began to focus on CPA/TAX and Investment Services and teach his clients the fundamentals of wealth accumulation. He is a teacher's teacher. His clients often refer to him as their Minister of Finance. Today, Roy is a Registered Principal and Branch Manager representing Sentra Securities Corporation. Sentra is a member of the NASD/SIPC and a broker/dealer member of American International Group (AIG). Roy is also the founder and managing partner of The CPAs of Arizona, LLC which is an alliance of CPA financial services professionals with offices throughout Arizona. He is a member of The American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and The Arizona Society of Certified Public Accountants. Roy and Patricia live in Gilbert. They have five children and thirteen grandchildren who also reside in East Valley Cities. Roy has established a reputation for providing his clients with straight and authoritative answers to the complex problems of wealth accumulation, wealth conservation, and wealth transfer.
