Tax Manager

Boutique CPA Firm in Massachusetts seeks FULLY REMOTE Tax Manager. This individual will have tremendous exposure throughout their Private Client Services team which is focused on Individual/Personal, Partnership, Trust & Estate, and Corporate Taxation. A diverse client base of privately-held businesses and high-net-worth individuals.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Work with the tax team to do tax technical review of tax returns (Individuals (1040), Trusts (1041 and 5227), Partnerships (1065), Gift (709), Estate (706), S corporations (1120S), and C Corporation (1065))
• Meet with clients to assess their current needs and propose solutions
• Develop and sustain strong client relationships to become their most trusted business and tax advisor
• Keep up to date on current tax procedures and changes in tax regulations/laws
• Actively participate in internal and external tax trainings
• Manage team and engagement metrics and work with other directors on growth
  strategies
• Train, supervise, and delegate assignments to tax seniors and staff
• Review complex tax returns
• Lead and mentor staff to meet individual professional development goals
• Focus on the development of staff and provide constructive feedback real-time
• Identify new client and business development opportunities

EXPERIENCE:

• 7+ years of public accounting experience with an emphasis on taxation with strong accounting skills
• Demonstrated experience managing multiple client engagements with a financial accounting background.
• Strong experience with Individual Taxation (high net worth)
• Experience in Trust & Estate Planning and Family Office Services is a plus
• Experience in working with small business
• Experience in family limited partnership and operating partnerships
• Excellent customer service skills
• Strong oral and written communication skills; works well in teams (collaborative)
• CPA, MST, or EA a plus
• Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Accounting or Tax
