Reporting caregiver compensation payed by parents
I did not have an employer in 2022. My parents payed me monthly compensation as a caregiver, my father was sick/died and mom also needs help. I want to report this as income and pay taxes including SS tax in order to remain "insured" for SS disability etc. How do I report this and does something need to show in my parents' tax filing regarding these payments?
