Aquinas Jones, is not a CPA that operates with integrity therefore I would not recommend him to anyone. This has been a nightmare...I paid him a deposit out of good faith because I was initially excited to work with Aquinas (as he came recommended) and he took advantage of me…Once I got the agreement back from Aquinas (a week later, because he told me he was busy working with other clients) it was a really high quote and still said “estimate and not invoice with a final cost.” I sent the agreement around to people I know and trust as I was looking for Aquinas to work with my small business long term and was advised against signing the agreement, and told I was being charged an additional $200 per return above the average costs for a basic 1040 filing. I called Aquinas to address my concerns and during that call based on his responses decided I will not move forward with signing an agreement and requested my deposit returned, he happily responded he would do so to myself and my witnesses who were present. As per his outlined contract work begins once 50% is paid, I still owed $1200 in order for that requirement to be met alongside a signed agreement. After hanging up the phone, Aquinas not only cut off all communication with me he started IGNORING all my calls and email correspondences after being so accessible before?!?! I reached out numerous times asking him to please do the right thing and return the money as he said he would, and he refused to respond to me. Once I esc
